3. Eligible children may access selected dental services at no out-of-pocket cost to the family, funded through the Australian Government’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).

Important Government Eligibility Information

• The CDBS provides eligible children aged 2–17 years with up to $1,132 in dental benefits per child over two consecutive calendar years.
• Eligibility is determined by the Australian Government (Services Australia/Medicare) based on the child’s family receiving an applicable government payment (e.g., Family Tax Benefit Part A).
• Sunbury Dental Group does not determine or guarantee CDBS eligibility. Families must confirm eligibility directly with Medicare or via myGov.

Terms & Conditions

1. “Free” Framing: References to “Free Kids Dentistry” on our website and marketing materials refer specifically to services covered under the CDBS for eligible children only. “Free” means no out-of-pocket cost to the patient/family for CDBS-covered services, provided the child’s annual benefit cap has not been reached.
2. Eligibility: Treatment under this offer is only available to patients who are confirmed eligible for the CDBS. Eligibility must be verified by our reception team via Medicare prior to the appointment.
3. Benefit Cap: The CDBS benefit of $1,132 covers selected dental services only. If a child’s annual cap has been exhausted, out-of-pocket costs will apply for further treatment.
4. Covered Services: CDBS covers selected basic dental services only, including examinations, X-rays, cleaning, fissure sealants, fillings, root canals, and extractions. Orthodontic treatment (including Invisalign, ClearCorrect, braces), cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and prosthetics are not covered by the CDBS.
5. Gap Fees: For treatments not covered by the CDBS, or where the standard fee exceeds the CDBS benefit, a gap fee will apply. All applicable fees will be disclosed to the parent/guardian prior to commencement of treatment.
6. Age Requirement: The child must be aged between 2 and 17 years inclusive during the calendar year in which treatment is provided.
7. Government Scheme: The CDBS is a government program. Sunbury Dental Group is a participating provider but has no control over the scheme’s terms, benefit amounts, or eligibility criteria, which are subject to change by the Australian Government at any time.
8. Booking: Appointments under the CDBS must be booked in advance. Parents/guardians should bring their Medicare card and confirm CDBS eligibility before the appointment.

The following conditions apply to every promotional offer advertised by Sunbury Dental Group:

1. Professional Clinical Discretion: All promotions are subject to the treating dentist’s clinical assessment. No promotional offer overrides a dentist’s professional obligation to provide clinically appropriate, evidence-based treatment.
